To apply for University Accommodation, e-mail housing@curtin.edu.my and provide the below details

= Attached MYR 50.00 non-refundable processing fee

You will receive the login token within 3 workings day

The process of refund is subject to:

  • Completion of documentation; and
  • Quotation to repair &/or replace damaged assets (if any); and
  • Return of housing keys and card; and
  • Availability of utilities bills up to your tenancy end date to compile the chargeable excess bill.

Refund timeline:

  • form received before 16 July, you can expect a fund transfer by September
  • form received before 15 December, you can expect a fund transfer by February

YES. Make sure you meet the deadlines outlined in the calendar at Housing Calendar. Refer to it often and mark the dates on your calendar.

We understand the anxieties involved when it comes to travelling to a foreign country for the first time. To ease your mind on your journey to Miri, we provide Airport Reception Service (ARS) at no extra cost. All you need to do is to fill up the ARS Form at least 5 working days prior to your arrival, our representative will meet you at Miri Airport and transfer you to your University Accommodation.

Room details will be disclosed upon check-in.

Students are strongly advised not to arrive at their designated residences BEFORE the specified check-in date. If you intend to arrive early, please check with Housing Services for room availability.

Do not affix posters, or nails to walls, ceilings or furniture of bedrooms or common areas. Any damage found will be charged on departure to the person(s) responsible.

During your stay, issues or problems may arise that you may find difficult to deal with. Talk to Housing Services if you need help.

Please contact Housing Services and the team will assist you accordingly. A charge of MYR 50.00 will be imposed for any room change request.

Smoking, vaping and consumption of any tobacco-based products are strictly prohibited in the Accommodation Complex/Compound.

Residents are required to keep their own room and flat/unit/house clean and tidy at all times, especially the kitchen.

A coin-operated laundry is located on site (Charges per wash MYR3.00 – MYR4.00)

Any maintenance or defect should be reported to housing@curtin.edu.my immediately. Damage due to fair wear and tear will be repaired free of charge.

It depends on the seriousness of the problem. Visit Housing Services for details on priorities and estimated timelines.

Damage due to fair wear and tear will be repaired free of charge.  Any negligence damage will be charged to the person(s) responsible. In the case of damages to the common areas, where the person responsible is unknown and does not come forward, the cost will be equally divided between all tenants of the flat/unit/house. Please note that residents are responsible for any damage caused by their visitors.

The defect price list is available on the notice board.

We do not allow visitors to stay overnight.

No refund of the semester rental will be made for any early check-out request.

All new students are advised to live on campus for a minimum of 1 year before moving to private accommodation.
